Oct. 2, 2021 - The Loras College men's soccer team (6-4-1, 1-1-0 A-R-C) squared off against the Simpson College Storm (3-4-1, 1-0-0 A-R-C) on Saturday night, highlighted by a first half goal from junior forward
Patrick Clancy, marking his seventh goal of the season for the Duhawks.
Clancy struck in the latter part of the first half in the 32nd minute as
Reed Miklavcic found Clancy in the middle of the box to poke past Simpson goalkeeper William Kopp to go up 1-0 at the end of the first half.
The second half saw both teams attack the net aggressively, seeing Simpson score two in the final minutes of the game to take the win.
The game was a physical one, seeing the Storm rack up two yellow cards on 12 fouls while the Duhawks had one yellow card and eight fouls of their own. Offensively the Duhawks were led by Clancy with the goal on the night while

Felipe Ramirez and Miklavcic each tallied two shots in the game.
The Duhawks return to the Rock Bowl on Wednesday, Oct. 6 as they play host to cross-town rival University of Dubuque. The game is scheduled for a 7:30 PM kick off.
