DECORAH, Iowa (Apr. 28, 2021) – Winding down its preparations ahead of the conference tournament, the Loras College men's tennis team (9-6, 4-3 A-R-C) fell in a 9-0 decision to the American Rivers Conference (A-R-C) leader Luther College (10-4, 7-0 A-R-C) at the Norse's home courts on Wednesday.

The Norse took the early 3-0 lead in doubles play and continued the momentum to control the tempo and match in singles action. At No. 1 singles, Kevin Blomquist had a second-set surge but came up short, 6-2, 6-4 to Nyathi Motlojoa and Konnor Barth also put up a fight in the No. 5 match but fell 6-3, 6-4 to Sakchham Karki. Eian Coad put up a strong first set at No. 6 againast Dylan Wiemers but his opponent took the second to win the match, 6-4, 6-2.

The Duhawks close out the regular season schedule at home on Thursday, Apr. 29, hosting Wartburg College and honoring senior Connor Pivnicka and women's seniors Audrey Hinz and Maddie Smith. Match play begins at 4 P.M.
