DE PERE, WIS. (Sept. 1, 2021) – The Loras College women's soccer team (1-0) opened the 2021 season with a road win at St. Norbert College (0-1) on Wednesday thanks to a pair of goals by junior Erin Rieckens to blank the Green Knights, 2-0.

Emily Perhats took the first shot on goal of the game eight minutes into play, helping spark the Duhawks' offense to rattle off five shots before Bella Talbot found Rieckens open for the first score of the game in the 35th minute. She scored again in the 58th minute off the substitution and the Duhawks' defense held steady to maintain the lead she had notched to come away with the win.

The Duhawks' offense had 15 shots and seven on goal including three each from Brynn Jacobi and Abby Eriksen while the defense limited the Green Knights to three shots in the 90 minutes with Kyndal Kells saving each in the shutout win.

Loras looks to keep the momentum rolling on Saturday, Sept. 4, hosting Dominican University at noon inside the Rock Bowl.
