ALLENDALE, Mich. (Feb. 12, 2022) – The No. 2-ranked Loras College men's track and field team celebrated another historic achievement on Saturday as the distance medley relay kicked off a busy day of competition split between three meets with the third-fastest all-time performance in Division III at the Grand Valley State University Big Meet. The Duhawks also sent squads to the University of Wisconsin-Platteville and the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater.

Carter Oberfoell,
Mike Jasa and
Ryan Harvey followed suit of the historic achievements the Duhawks have set this season, running 9:45.33 to smash the school record by six seconds and rank third in Division III history. The Duhawks ran below the previous 9:46.95 all-time record that fell only one day prior and were one of three times over the weekend to rewrite the top times in the event. John Carroll University set the all-time mark Friday evening (9:41.56) and Williams College finished on their heels in 9:42.29, setting the standard for the Duhawks as they took to the track on Saturday at Grand Valley.
Jasa is on the NCAA Division III all-time, all-conditions list in the 800-meter run which he set a week prior and is the national leader in the 800-meter run in addition to ranking seventh in the 400-meter dash this season. Oberfoell is third in the 800-meter run this season and Harvey is top-ten as well in the mile, ranking seventh.
The Duhawks added more nationally-ranked and Loras all-time performances at the Midwest Elite Meet at Whitewater.
Josh Smith won the 200-meter dash in 22.01 which puts him seventh in Division III this season and
Evan Jamrozy improved on his 5,000-meter run top-ten performance with a time of 14:46.87, ranking him fourth in program history.
Ryan Rogers added a second-place finish in the long jump, going 6.94 meters.
The Duhawks are back in action on Friday, Feb. 18 in a final tune-up before the American Rivers Conference (A-R-C) Championship, competing at the Sol Butler Invitational at the University of Dubuque.
