CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa — Carter Allen and Rosie Flynn of the Loras College men's and women's track and field teams were named American Rivers Conference (A-R-C) Athletes of the Week, the league office announced Monday afternoon.

Allen earned A-R-C Men's Field Athlete of the Week honors following his performance at the Loras Easter Mid-Week meet. Competing in a field of 37 in the discus, he placed second with a throw of 50.23 meters. The mark set a season best and currently ranks 10th in NCAA Division III.

Flynn was selected as the A-R-C Women's Track Athlete of the Week after her performance in the 800 meters at the same meet. She won the event in a field of 19, posting a season-best time of 2:15.75.
