(Feb. 12, 2022) – The No. 1-ranked Loras College women's track and field team continued to set itself up for postseason success on Saturday at a pair of meets with multiple nationally-ranked performances.The 4-by-400-meter relay team smashed the school record and lowered its NCAA Division III leading time and sophomore
Grace Alley broke her own school record for the second time this season in the triple jump with another top-ten performance in the long jump.
Alley opened the Midwest Elite Meet, hosted by the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater with a lifetime best 11.83 meter jump on her first attempt in the triple jump and continued to soar as she leapt 12.07 meters to win the event. The Seneca, Ill. native also popped off the third-farthest long jump in program history, going 5.62 meters and ranking 11th in Division III.

Stevie Lambe,
Elayna Bahl and
Alyssa Pfadenhauer capped off the meet with a record-setting performance, dropping seven seconds off their previous best mark this season and bettering the school record by two seconds. Their time of 3:48.97 holds a four-second lead in Division III.
Edwards had a strong day as the 60-meter dash champion, running 7.75 seconds and Pfadenhauer won the 200-meter dash in a personal-best 25.68, ranking fourth in program history. Bahl placed third in the 60-meter hurdles, running 8.97, and
Harmony Creasy improved on her top-ten performance in the long jump, going 5.39 meters to rank seventh all-time.Â
Competing at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville,
Ella Reilly highlighted top finishers with a runner-up finish in the 3,000-meter run with a time of 12:27.23
The Duhawks are back in action on Friday, Feb. 18 at the Sol Butler Invitational, hosted by the University of Dubuque, and Loras will also send a distance medley relay to the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh Titan Challenge on Saturday, Feb. 19.
