MILWAUKEE, Wis. (Mar. 12, 2022) - After taking down the Lakeland University Muskies in a midweek matchup at home, the Loras College men's tennis team (6-6, 0-1 A-R-C) hit the road to Milwaukee, Wis. to take on the Milwaukee School of Engineering Raiders in a non-conference tilt on Saturday afternoon. The Duhawks secured their fourth victory in a row after downing the Raiders 6-3.

In doubles action, Kevin Blomquist and Thomas Kampmier squared off against MSOE's Alec Dam and Alex Nakasato in the No. 1 doubles match, seeing Blomquist and Kampmier earn an 8-4 win. In the No. 2 doubles matchup, Konnor Barth and Tommy Linkenheld fell to Daniel Lukasek and Joe Chong by a narrow 8-6 margin before Sean Gelski and Joe Schneider took on Josh Fay and Benjamin Steves in the No. 3 matchup, walking away with an 8-5 victory to put the Duhawks up 2-1 going into singles play.

Blomquist picked up his second match victory of the day in the No. 1 singles match against Dam, who he saw earlier in doubles action, winning in two sets with set scores of 6-1, 6-1. Kampmier and Gelski fell in the No. 2 and No. 3 singles matches, respectively, before Kareem Kassas picked up a win in the No. 4 spot with a three set victory over Chong with final scores of 6-7, 7-5, 13-11. Linkenheld competed against Steves in the No. 5 singles match and took down the foe 6-0, 6-2 while Eian Coad solidified the win in the No. 6 spot, winning 6-2, 6-4 to seal the deal on the 6-3 match victory.

The Duhawks return to the Tucker Tennis Courts on Mar. 19 as they play host to the Buena Vista University Beavers in an American Rivers Conference match.
