WAVERLY, Iowa (Apr. 1, 2022) – Competing in its first meet of the outdoor season following their championship run to claim the program's first NCAA Division III Indoor National Championship title, the Loras College women's track and field team put on a strong performance with a national-leading performance by Grace Alley in the triple jump and multiple nationally-ranked marks across events in a successful first meet at the Wartburg College Select Meet on Friday.

Alley, coming off a pair of All-America performances in the pentathlon and triple jump at the indoor national championship, set the top-mark in Division III this season in the triple jump, going 11.93 meters and improving on her hold on No. 3 all-time in program history.

The 4-by-100-meter relay of Alyssa Pfadenhauer, Elayna Bahl, Stevie Lambe and Harmony Creasy ran 47.72 to win the race and run the seventh-fastest time in program history as well as the second-fastest time this season in Division III. Bahl added a win in the 100-meter hurdles, running 14.78 seconds which ranks 14th nationally, and finished second in the 400-meter hurdles, running 1:03.83 and sitting sixth in the nation. Pfadenhauer also added a first-place finish in the 800-meter run, showing her talents at the longer distance following a stunning performance at the NCAA Division III Indoor National Championship in the distance medley relay, running 2:13.07, good for third in program history and fifth in Division III.

Brianna Renner finished second in the 3,000-meter steeplechase, running on pace with her school-record mark at 11:09.40 to rank second in Division III. Lambe added a second-place finish in the 200-meter dash, running 25.86 and Creasy finished third, running 26.42 in her outdoor debut. Creasy also secured a win in the long jump, leaping 5.64 meters to rank third in program history and second in Division III this season.

Along with Alley and Creasy's highlights in the field events, Taylor Flaig finished third in the hammer throw, tossing 44.13 meters, second in the discus (39.67 meters) and third in the shot put, throwing 11.68 meters. Kayla Weatherly finished second in the event, throwing 11.78 meters, and Sara Hoskins cleared 1.55 meters in the high jump to place first. Morgan Ramirez placed third in the long jump with a jump of 5.11 meters.

The host Knights won the meet with 196 points followed by Loras in second with 183 and Winona State University finished third with 138 points.

Kassie Parker will represent the Duhawks at the Stanford University Invitational, competing in the 10,000-meter run late Friday night as she looks to add her name to the NCAA Division II all-time list in the event, and Loras is back in action at the University of Dubuque on Friday, Apr. 8 for a close-to-home meet.
