ELMHURST, Ill. – The Loras College women's volleyball team was defeated by Elmhurst University in straight sets Saturday night inside R.A. Faganel Hall.
The Duhawks dropped sets one and two by scores of 25-17 and 25-19. Loras (10-13 overall, 1-3 A-R-C) was able to keep things close in set three, trailing by just four midway through the set. In the end, however, they were unable to complete the comeback, falling 25-16 in set three.
Leading the Duhawk offense was
Cat Meyer who finished the night with eight kills. Meyer also added nine digs and two blocks to her stat line.
Sara Hoskins led the Purple and Gold with 21 assists and pitched in six digs. Elmhurst (13-7 overall, 1-4 CCIW) was led by Aly Reardon and Keely Larson with nine kills each. Lucy Anderson had six blocks for the Bluejays while Kellyn Kennedy had 20 assists.
