DUBUQUE, Iowa – Battling a tough Pioneer squad that head coach Sam Koenig used to call his own, the Loras College Duhawk men's soccer team came to a 1-1 draw with the University of Wisconsin-Platteville on Tuesday night inside the Rock Bowl.

Loras (6-2-4 overall, 1-1 A-R-C) continued a trend of scoring early on in their contests, as Michael Koutsopanagos scored in the lower left corner of the goal to put the Duhawks on top early. The Pioneers (7-0-4) fired off six shots over the remainder of the half but were unsuccessful in their attempts.

The second half saw UWP score an equalizer 13 minutes into play when Isaac Petersen found the back of the net off an assist from Ethan Dietrich. The Duhawks were able to get another five shots off over the remainder of the contest but couldn't find home before time expired.

• UWP led the game in shots at a mark of 19-10, including an 8-3 advantage in shots on goal.
• The Pioneers also led the contest in corner kicks at 10-4.
• Goalies for Loras had a successful night facing shots, as Owen Johnson and Ben Krogman combined to stop seven Pioneer shots.

Up Next: The Duhawks return to action this Saturday for a homecoming showdown with cross-town rival the University of Dubuque. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m.
