Brandon Phelps and women's swim and dive's
Annie Quinn earned American Rivers Conference (A-R-C) Athlete of the Week honors.
For Phelps, the junior linebacker picked up his first-career Defensive Player of the Week distinction after a dominate performance against Buena Vista University on Saturday. The Morris, Ill. native racked up six solo tackles and three sacks, in addition to tying his career-high with five tackles for loss. Phelps also forced a fumble that he recovered and took 45 yards to the house in the fourth quarter, capping off Loras' 49-21 win over the Beavers to improve to 4-4 overall and 3-3 in conference play.
For Quinn, the senior out of Chicago, Ill. picks up her second career Performer of the Week award after having earned the distinction last season on Nov. 7, 2022. The senior helped lead Loras to a 132-56 win over Simpson College this past weekend, which was the first victory for the Duhawks over the Storm since 2019. Quinn won three of the Duhawks' nine event victories, including the final leg of the 200-yard medley relay team that finished at 1:59.86. She also picked up two individual wins, first in the 50-yard freestyle (25.64) and again in the 100-yard freestyle (57.29).
