Women's Swim and Dive Victorious in Double Dual Meet over Iowa Lakes, Iowa Central

FORT DODGE, Iowa – The Loras College women's Swim and Dive program had a perfect weekend in its double dual meet, taking down Iowa Lakes Community College at a score of 147-6 and Iowa Central Community College, 92-89.

Overall, the Duhawks won three events. Annie Quinn was Loras' top swimmer, finishing with two individual event victories. First, the senior out of Chicago, Ill.  won the 50-yard freestyle at a mark of 23.35, followed by a 56.38 first-place finish in the 100-yard freestyle.

Molly Strohmeyer was Loras' other event win, as the junior out of Senior High School won the 500-yard freestyle at a time of 6:09.09.

The 200-medley relay team took silver after closing out the race at 2:03.19. In the 1000-yard freestyle, Morgan Hause finished second with a time of 12:53.46. Strohmeyer (2:16.04) and Kendra Sirianni (2:18.47) took second and third in the 200-yard freestyle, respectively.

In the 200-yard IM, Emma Nelson took second with a time of 2:31.07 before finishing the 200-yard butterfly in second at 2:37.07. Brianna Neifert, a freshman out of Norwalk, Iowa finished second in the 200-yard backstroke with a time of 2:31.43.

Morgan Hause was second in the 500-yard freestyle, finishing the race roughly two second after Stromeyer. Emma Pajtash was second in the 200-yard backstroke after closing out the race at 3:01.14.

Up Next: The Duhawks will return to the pool for the Wheaton Invite which begins on Thursday, Nov. 30 and runs through Saturday, Dec. 2. Thursday will serve as the diving portion of the Invite, which will get underway at 6:30 p.m. Friday's split action begins at 9:30 a.m. and 5 p.m., while Saturday kicks off at 10 a.m. and 5 p.m.
