CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – The Loras College women's volleyball team dropped its final regular season American Rivers Conference contest to Coe College on Wednesday evening inside Kohawk Arena.
The Kohawks defeated the Duhawks in straight sets by scores of 25-17, 25-16 and 25-11.
Coe (16-10 overall, 6-2 A-R-C) excelled offensively through all three sets, hitting .271 over the course of the match which featured 38 kills and nine errors in 107 attempts. Madi Parson led the way for the home team with 10 kills and seven service aces. Grace Lueken and Gracie Urbatsch added in six kills apiece, while Maddy Maahs dished out 29 assists in the win.
Loras (12-15, 3-5) was led by
Autumn Finch who put down 11 kills.
Sophie Younkin chipped in five kills, while
Sara Hoskins totaled 26 assists. As a team, the Duhawks hit .122, finishing with 31 kills and 19 errors in 98 attempts.
Up Next: The Duhawks travel to Wisconsin for a non-conference match against the Lakeland University Muskies on Friday, Nov. 3. First serve is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
