DUBUQUE, Iowa – For the fifth time this season, the Loras College Duhawks put up over 40 points in a whopping 82-16 victory over the Simpson College Storm.

Quarterback Evan England had an outstanding day, racking up six touchdowns. The opening score for the Duhawks was an England rushing touchdown for 34 yards. He completed 19 of 21 passes for 337 yards. He also totaled 161 rushing yards to lead the team today both on the ground and in the air.

His go-to man Mani Brown also had a stellar afternoon. He had five touchdowns in only 9 receptions, totaling 250 yards. With these five touchdown receptions, Brown broke the single-season record for pass receptions.

In the run game for the Duhawks, Johnnie Cason II totaled six carries for 69 yards, which included a touchdown, while Jamel Britt followed closely behind with 68 yards in 11 attempts.

On the defensive side, Niko Jemilo and Henry Ivers led the charge. Jemilo had nine total tackles, three solo and six assists. Ivers had eight total, three solo, and five assists as well as an interception. Owen Kelly, Jacob Sanchez, and Brian Filosa each picked off a pass as well throughout the game.

The Duhawks came out of the gate running, scoring within the first three minutes of the game and then again just two minutes later. Simpson responded, putting up two of their own touchdowns in the opening quarter, but the Duhawks answered back with a pair of touchdowns before the end of the quarter. Loras (5-4 overall, 4-3 A-R-C) led 27-14 going into the second quarter.

The Duhawks wasted no time in the second quarter to score. They controlled the entire quarter, scoring four touchdowns. Michael Crawford and England each had one, while Brown added in two. The Storm could not string together their offense to get any points up.

Simpson (3-6, 2-5) was unable to take advantage of the Duhawk errors and continued to turn the ball over allowing for more scores.  At this point, Garrett Hutchison came into the game for the Duhawks and threw three touchdown passes to Brown, Crawford, and Drew Randl

Max Golembiewski checked in at quarterback for the fourth quarter and threw a 46-yard pass to Randl for the final Loras touchdown of the game with only three minutes left to go in the game. The Storm blocked the extra point of the previous drive and returned it to add two more points on the board.
