WAVERLY, Iowa (April 3, 2023) – A new era of Loras College women's golf began over the weekend as the Duhawks started the spring slate at the Wartburg College Spring Invite in the first event under the direction of new head coach
Will Arndt.
The Duhawks finished in eighth place at their first meet since the American Rivers Conference (A-R-C) Championship back in early October as freshman
Jenna Bistline led the way by tying for sixth place in the 44-golfer field.
Bistline shot an 83 at the par-70 Waverly Municipal course to shoot 13-over par, which is her best score to par of her Duhawk career. It's also the second top-10 of her career after she tied for seventh place at the UW-La Crosse Invitational in September.
Gabrielle Langlois (37
th – 98) and
Brianna Baron (38
th – 99) were second and third in scoring on the team as each broke 100 strokes in the single round on Sunday.
Both Loras golf programs are competing Monday and Tuesday at the Clarke University Invite at the Galena Golf Club in Galena, Ill.
