DUBUQUE, Iowa – After weather conditions tried to get in the way of tonight's match, the Loras College Duhawks fell 2-0 to Wheaton College on Saturday evening inside the Rock Bowl.

The Duhawks (4-1-2 overall) suffered its first loss of the season in the bout with the Thunder (4-2), who were impressive in the ways they contained a Loras offense that has been potent all season long. Wheaton scored its first goal of the game at the 39:28 minute mark when Harrison Lee found the back of the net off an assist from Mason Louth. At 57:26, the Thunder scored again, this time by Pryse Anderson from Timmy Jones.  

Loras fired off seven shots in the final eight minutes of the contest, but was unable to find much success against a stingy Thunder defense.

• The Duhawks recorded more shots (26-11) and shots on goal (9-7) than Wheaton
• Loras also led the match in corer kicks at 12-7

Up Next: The Duhawks will welcome in the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater on Wednesday, Sept. 20. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m.
