DUBUQUE, Iowa – Facing its toughest opponent to date, the Loras College men's soccer team got on the board fist, but Gustavus Adolphus equalized in the second half and held the Duhawks to a 1-1 draw at the Rock Bowl on Friday night.
Loras (3-0-1 overall) got on the board thanks to
Bryan Basinger, who scored his first goal of the season when he took a corner from
Carson Woods off the head to the back left of the net, just outside the outstretched arm of GAC goalkeeper Wesley Sanders. From there, Loras fought to keep its lead but the Golden Gusties managed to gain one back, equalizing at the 59:26 mark for the final result.
With the draw, the series moves to 1-1-1 all time.
