Men's Volleyball Soars Past MSOE

MILWAUKEE, Wis. - The Loras College men's volleyball team captured a 3-0 victory over the Milwaukee School of Engineering on Tuesday night inside the Kern Center.

The Duhawks led by as many as four in the opening set, but the Raiders stuck around taking a brief one-point lead (13-12) in the middle of the set. Despite the score being knotted up six times throughout set one, Loras (2-0) was able to break the final tie (19-19) with a 6-2 run to take the set 25-21.

The Purple and Gold took advantage of 11 attack errors by MSOE (0-1) to cruise to a 25-19 win in set two, before soundly defeating the home team 25-16 in the final set to complete the sweep.

Seth Thomas led the way for the Raiders, finishing with eight kills, three blocks and four digs. Ian Glashagel totaled seven kills, while Parker Rings dished out 25 assists in the loss. As a team, MSOE hit .078 which featured 29 kills and 21 errors in 102 attempts.
