Men's Soccer Draws with UW-Whitewater

WHITEWATER, Wis. – The Loras College men's soccer team battled to a 1-1 draw with the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater on Tuesday evening.

The match was scoreless until the 39:45-mark when Luka Breslin put UW-Whitewater (5-4-3, 0-0-0 WIAC) on the board with the lone goal in the first half, off assists from Zach Kristy and Fionnbharr Hartnett.

The Duhawks, despite being outshot 16 to 11, landed six shots on frame compared to Warhawks five.

Dani Galiana Torres put the Purple and Gold back within reach after he slotted home a penalty kick goal in the 67th minute.

The match was very physical as both teams were looking to gain the lead. The Warhawks had 12 fouls compared to Loras' (4-3-5, 1-0-0 A-R-C) seven. Six yellow cards were handed out, each team receiving three apiece.
