DUBUQUE, Iowa – The Loras College men's soccer team continued its undefeated run at home with a 3-0 win over the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point on Tuesday evening.
The Duhawks struck early into the game as
Bryan Basinger tallied his fourth goal of the season as he put one past the Pointers off a throw in assist from
Ethan Kelly.
Not long after, rounding out the scoring for the first half,
Cole Bridson added to the Duhawks lead off an assist from Basinger.
Securing the victory for the Purple and Gold in the 86
th minute was
Diego Rodriguez who scored his second goal of the season and second goal in two games off assists from
Sep Heerkens and
Julian Lopez.
Loras (6-3-5, 2-0-0 A-R-C) out shot UW-Stevens Point (8-3-3, 1-0-0 WIAC) 19 to 10, nine of which were on frame for the Duhawks compared to three on frame for the Pointers.
Ben Krogman and
Kyle Gillingham earned the clean sheet as they both turned away all three shots they faced.
