Men's Track and Field Earns Four First Place Finishes at Oshkosh Multi

OSHKOSH, Wis. – The Loras College men's track and field team kicked off their indoor season at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh Early Bird Invitational/Multi on Friday, Dec. 6 and Saturday, Dec. 7.

The Duhawks took home first place in four events. Joe Franke earned a first-place finish with his performance in the 800-meter run. Joining Franke in the number one spot was the Loras 4x400 meter relay squad of Matt Kruse, Franke, Carson Vaske, and Ian Fagan. The final two top performances came by way of DreAnthony Jackson in the shotput and Ian Lucas in the 1000 meter run heptathlon.

The men placed second out of eight teams with 111 points scored.

Among the athletes that competed at the Oshkosh Multi, Isaac Bourne also competed on Saturday at the St. Ambrose Frigid Bee Opener where he ran the 5000m run and earned a time of 14:56.43 which puts him ninth all-time in school history. 

Up Next: The Duhawks travel to Davenport, Iowa on Saturday, Jan. 18 to compete at the Bumble Rumble hosted by St. Ambrose University.
