NEW ORLEANS, La. – The United States Track & Field and Cross Country Association (USTFCCCA) released its week five National Ratings Index on Tuesday afternoon. The Duhawk women ranked second for the fifth-straight week, while the men fell four spots to No. 16.
The women are led by
Emma Seipel and
Grace Alley, who have a combined three national-leading marks in their respective categories. Seipel leads the country in the long jump (6.08m, 19-11.5) , while Alley has leading marks of 1.75 meters (5-8.75) in the high jump and 3,986 points in the pentathlon. In all, six Duhawks have top-five marks, while nine hold top-10 totals on the indoor performance list.
On the men's side,
Ryan Harvey's 4:05.04 (converted) time in the mile is the program's highest rank, as the time stands fourth in all of NCAA Division III. Following Harvey closely is
Holden Murphy, who holds the fifth-best weight throw mark in the nation at 19.63 meters (64-5).
The Duhawks return to action this weekend for the American Rivers Conference Indoor Championships, held Feb. 23-24 at the University of Dubuque.Action gets underway at 10 a.m. both days from the A.Y. McDonald Indoor Track.
