PELLA, Iowa — The Loras women's track and field team placed third at the American Rivers Conference (A-R-C) Outdoor Championships, hosted by Central College, finishing with 129 points, five individual conference titles and 11 All-Conference performances.
Keelee Leitzen led the Duhawks with a standout distance double, winning both the 800 and 1,500 meters while setting facility records in each event. She posted a time of 2:10.92 in the 800 and followed with a 4:30.04 finish in the 1,500.
Leitzen also anchored the 4x800 relay team of Savannah Davis, Rosie Flynn and Ivy Glendening to a conference title. The quartet's time of 9:07.28 set both a facility and program record.
In the field events, Julia Klein captured the triple jump title with a season-best leap of 11.26 meters and added a third-place finish in the high jump (1.64 meters) to earn All-Conference honors. Caitlyn Cox won the hammer throw with a mark of 55.91 meters and placed third in the shot put at 13.30 meters, a season best.
On the track, Katie Flynn secured All-Conference recognition with a runner-up finish in the 400 meters, clocking a personal-best 55.74. Andelyn Cabalka added a second-place finish in the pole vault, clearing 3.37 meters.
Maddie Mucci also earned All-Conference honors with a runner-up finish in the triple jump at a season-best 11.05 meters, while the 4x400 relay team of katie Flynn, Leitzen, Layla Hughes and Rosie Flynn placed second with a time of 3:50.38.
