MANKATO, Minn. – A pair of goals just 70 seconds apart with under 10 minutes left in the contest evened the scoring for the Duhawks and resulted in a 3-3 draw for the Loras College men's soccer team on Sunday afternoon at Scheels Field.
Loras (3-2-2) scored the game's first goal at the four-minute mark when
Cole Bridson netted his first goal of the season off an assist from
Ryan Shanahan.
The Purple and Gold held onto the lead until the Vikings rattled off three unanswered goals in the second half, giving Bethany Lutheran College (1-4-1) a 3-1 advantage.
Nearing the end of the match, the Duhawks battled back and scored two goals within one minute of each other to knot the score up at 3-3.
Dani Galiana Torres off assists from
Diego Rodriguez and Shanahan, and
Bryan Basinger off an assist from
Ethan Kelly netted the goals home for the Duhawks.
Kyle Gillingham recorded his first career start, where he faced seven shots and totaled four saves on the day.
