GREENVILLE, Ill. – The Loras College men's soccer team fell 2-0 against the Panthers of Greenville University, Wednesday afternoon at Francis Field.
The match was even at 0-0 until
Townes Robertson opened the scoring for the Duhawks in the 22
nd minute off a cross from
Carson Woods.
Just seven minutes after the Duhawks converted a goal, the Panthers were able to generate a chance and even the score at 1-1 off a goal from Braulio Martinez.
Loras (3-3-1) totaled 18 shots, six of which were on goal and generated eight corner kick opportunities compared to Greenville (1-4-1) who recorded eight shots, three of which were on goal and had three corner kick chances.
The Purple and Gold couldn't capitalize on their chances and in the 63
rd minute, another Panther goal sealed the win for Greenville.
