PLATTEVILLE, Wis. – The Loras College men's soccer team battled to a 1-1 draw against UW-Platteville on Wednesday evening at Ralph E. Davis Pioneer Stadium.
Loras (3-3-4) wasted no time putting themselves on the board, as
Carson Woods recorded his first career goal 31 seconds into the game off assists from
Ethan Kelly and
Reed Miklavcic.
UW-Platteville (4-0-2) outshot the Purple and Gold 17-7, eight of which were on frame compared to the Duhawks three on target shots. At the 35:25-minute mark, the Pioneers capitalized on an opportunity to even the score with a goal from Alex Wano that was assisted by Justin Williams.
Ben Krogman totaled seven saves on the night, two of which were penalty kick saves that would help keep the score tied at one apiece.
Up Next: The Duhawks travel to Storm Lake, Iowa on Saturday, Sept. 28 to take on the Beavers of Buena Vista University. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m.
