STORM LAKE, Iowa - The Loras College men's soccer program picked up a dominant 5-0 victory over Buena Vista University on Saturday evening at J. Leslie Rollins Stadium and Peterson Field.
The Duhawks wasted no time as
Cole Bridson started off the scoring at the 12:31-mark registering his third goal of the season off an assist from
Dani Galiana Torres.
The Purple and Gold extended their lead to 2-0 just seconds into the second half by way of
Townes Robertson, who earned his fourth goal of the season off assists from
Bryan Basinger and
Reed Miklavcic.
The next pair of goals would come within two minutes of each other as
Julian Lopez collected his first career goal of an assist from Bridson. Galiana Torres would add to the total, scoring his fourth goal of the season off an assist from
Sep Heerkens.
Sealing the victory for the Purple and Gold would be
Carson Howe, who tallied an unassisted goal for his first of the season.
Loras (4-3-4 overall, 1-0-0 American Rivers Conference) totaled 22 shots, 14 of which were on target, while the Beavers (7-3-0, 0-1-0) earned five shots, none of which were on frame.
Up Next: The Duhawks travel to the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater on Tuesday, Oct. 1 for a non-conference matchup. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m.
