BLOOMINGTON, Ill. – The Loras College women's volleyball team posted a 2-1 record at the Crafted Classic hosted by Illinois Wesleyan University this past Friday and Saturday.
The Duhawks swept Webster University in their opening match on Friday evening, before dropping their second match to the host in straight sets on day two of the tournament. The Purple and Gold persevered in its final contest, taking down DePauw University, 3-2.
Sara Hoskins and
Autumn Finch represented the Duhawks on the All-Tournament Team.

- Duhawks broke the final tie at 20-20 with a five-point run to take the opening set, 25-20
- Loras created separation with a four-point run to take a 17-13 lead that it would hold onto and extend en route to take set two by a score of 25-19
- The Purple and Gold rattled off seven unanswered points in set three, giving them a 16-9 lead. Webster closed the gap to get within three points, but the Duhawks responded with another four-point run to bring the lead back to seven. Loras completed the sweep with a 25-18 set three win.

- Loras broke a 10-10 tie with a kill from Elaina Schroeder, to take the lead and in turn the set by a score of 25-16.
- The Duhawks worked their way back from a five-point deficit (20-15) with a 4-0 run, which was led by Elaina Schroeder who blocked a pair of attack attempts and put down a kill. The Tigers took a 2-1 advantage in the match with a 25-20 set three win.
- The Purple and Gold closed out the fourth set with a 6-0 run to take the set, 25-15, and force set five
- The Duhawks raced out to an 8-2 lead in set five and maintained it to take the match with a 15-7 victory in the fifth set.
