Belha, Bourne, and Bunten Earn Top Finishes at Bumble Rumble

DAVENPORT, Iowa – The Loras College men's track and field squad competed for the first time in 2025 at the Bumble Rumble hosted by St. Ambrose University.

A trio of Duhawks secured first place finishes in their respective events. Jacob Belha finished first in the 1-mile run, while Isaac Bourne placed first in the 3,000-meter run and Derik Bunten was the top finisher in the long jump.

Belha clocked in a time of 4:18.21 in the 1-mile, while teammate Carlo Dannenfelser finished closely behind with a time of 4:18.33.

Bourne earned a first-place finish after running the 3,000 meters in 9:00.98. Similar to Belha, Bourne's teammate, Eric Rutherford, also finished closely behind. Rutherford finished second with a time of 9:01.04.

The final first place finisher for the Purple and Gold was Bunten who jumped 6.99 meters in the long jump.

Up Next: The Duhawks hit the road on Saturday, Jan. 24 to Monmouth, Ill. to compete at the Fighting Scots Invite hosted by Monmouth College.
