Men's Track and Field Distance Medley Earns Top-15 Finish at Monmouth Midwest Invitational

MONMOUTH, Ill. – The Loras College men's track and field squad hit the road to take part in the Monmouth Midwest Invitational hosted by Monmouth College Friday evening.

Setting the tone for the Purple and Gold in the 4x200 with a new school record was Ian Fagan, Derik Bunten, Dayvion Foreman, and Ted Kruse who earned a time of 1:29.60.

Following suit in the distance medley was Joe Franke, Aaron Ayobami, Aiden Ruiz, and Ryan McGrath who finished first with a time of 10:53.88 which currently ranks No.12 in Division III.

Among the top performances, Isaac Bourne collected a new personal record of 8:58.73 in the 3000m which earned him a first-place finish.

The men took home first across nine different events in addition to seven athletes earning a season best score and 10 recording a new personal record.

Up Next: The Duhawks travel to compete at the Wartburg Select on Friday, Jan.29 – Saturday, Feb.1 hosted by Wartburg College in Waverly, Iowa.
