DECORAH, Iowa — The Loras College men's soccer team battled back from a two-goal deficit to earn a 2–2 draw against Luther College on Wednesday night at the Luther Soccer Field.
After falling behind 2–0 early in the second half, the Duhawks responded with goals from Sep Heerkens and Dani Galiana Torres to secure the draw.
Luther (3-2-5, 0-0-2 A-R-C) struck first in the 51st minute when Enrique Lopez Barriga scored off an assist from Enzo Mitidieri, then doubled its lead in the 64th minute on a goal from Paul Menge.
Heerkens put Loras (7-0-5, 1-0-2 A-R-C) on the board in the 71st minute with his team-leading eighth goal of the season before Galiana Torres netted the equalizer in the 79th minute off a penalty kick.
Goalkeeper Alexander Drexler tallied four saves in 90 minutes of action as the Duhawks were placed seven of their eight attempts on frame.
Up next: Loras returns home Saturday, Oct. 12, to host Simpson College at the Rock Bowl. Kickoff is scheduled for 3:30 p.m.
