WAVERLY, Iowa – The Loras College women's track and field team traveled to Waverly, Iowa to compete in the Wartburg Select hosted by Wartburg College on Friday, Jan. 31 and Saturday, Feb. 1.

Headlining for the women came by way of Elly Burds as she etched her name in the Loras College Track and Field history book as she moves to ninth all-time after her first-place finish with a time of 5:08.53.

Continuing her winning ways, Emma Seipel collected another first-place finish in the 60-meter dash with a time of 7.70 and along with a top place finish in the long jump with a distance of 5.73 meters.

Up Next: The Purple and Gold travel back to Waverly, Iowa, on Friday, Feb. 7 for the second weekend in a row to take part in the Friday Knight Lights hosted by Wartburg College.
