NEW ORLEANS, La – The United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) released its week two National Ratings Index, with the women of Loras appearing on the list. The women moved up to the No. 4 spot, while the men came in at No. 26.
Four Duhawk women hold top-10 national rankings, with
Emma Seipel leading at No. 1 in the long jump and No. 3 in the 60-meter dash.
Caitlyn Cox ranks second in the weight throw, while
Sara Hoskins sits third in the high jump, and
Taylor Flaig is eighth in the weight throw. Their combined efforts account for 88.45 of the team's 90.14 points, securing Loras a No. 4 spot in the national rankings.
In the Midwest region for the women, everything remains the same for the top 5 with exception of Loras and American Rivers Conference competitor, Wartburg as teams swap places with the Knights taking the No. 3 spot while the Duhawks move down to No. 5.
For the men, Five Duhawks had top performances this past weekend, with
Joe Franke (mile),
Carlo Dannenfelser,
Isaac Bourne, and
Jacob Belha (3000m) all securing top-10 all-time performances.
Carter Allen also made history in the weight throw, marking 16.71m to rank 10th in program history.
In the Midwest region the top four teams stay the same with Loras sitting pat at No.3 while A-R-C rival University of Dubuque moves up to No. 5.
