DUBUQUE, Iowa – The Loras College men's basketball team put itself back in the win column with a 75-59 win over Wartburg College on Wednesday night inside the Lillis Athletic and Wellness Center.

The Duhawks led wire-to-wire en route to securing the season sweep over the Knights. Jack Haynes put Loras (13-7, 7-4 A-R-C) on the board first following a pair of made free throws just 17 seconds into the contest. The Purple and Gold extended their lead to as many as 15 over the course of the opening half, heading into the locker room with a 46-31 advantage.

Even though the Duhawks only outscored Wartburg (12-9, 5-7) by one point (29-28) in the second half, Loras was able to create a 22-point separation multiple times throughout the final 20 minutes of play.

Tyler Bass helped the Purple and Gold snap their three-game losing streak by posting a game-high 15 points. Gavin Sarvis, Jared Pearson and Haynes added in 11 points apiece, while Alex Singleton rounded out the double-digit scorers for the Duhawks with 10 points. Haynes and Bass registered their fifth and seventh double-doubles of the season respectively after pulling down ten rebounds each. Loras shot 42.1 percent (24-of-57) from the floor and 72.4 percent (21-of-29) from the foul line.

Austin Bienemann paced the Wartburg offense, finishing with 13 points on the night, while Marshun Williams added in 11 points. As a team, the Knights shot 39.0 percent (23-of-59) from the field and just 56.3 percent (9-of-16) from the free throw line.
