AURORA, Ill. – The Loras College men's volleyball team suffered a 3-0 loss to the 12
th-ranked Aurora University Spartans on Friday evening inside Thornton Gymnasium.
The Purple and Gold fell in consecutive sets to Aurora (15-2, 4-0 NACC) by scores of 25-23, 25-22 and 25-23.
Corey Mayotte led the way for Loras (9-3, 3-1 CCIW) with 16 kills, while
Nolan Krygsheld put down double-digit kills as well, finishing with 11 on the night. Krygsheld also led the team in digs with 13, while
Evan Dziadkowiec handed out 35 assists. As a team, the Duhawks hit .213, totaling 40 kills and 17 errors in 108 attempts.
Josh McLellan paced the Spartan offense registering a match-high 17 kills, while Logan Brouwer dished out 40 assists on the night. Aurora hit .340, finishing with 49 kills and 13 errors in 106 attempts.
