WAVERLY, Iowa – The Loras College men's track and field team opened its outdoor season April 4–5 in Waverly, Iowa.
Leading the way for the Duhawks was the 4x100-meter relay team of
Derik Bunten,
Dayvion Foreman,
Ian Fagan and
Frank Day, which took first place with a time of 41.56 seconds. The mark ranks eighth in program history and 18th in NCAA Division III this season.
Ian Lucas kicked off his outdoor campaign with a pair of personal bests. He recorded a throw of 46.74 meters in the javelin to place seventh and finished 12th in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 15.59 seconds.
Liam Kelso added another standout performance for Loras, earning a personal record in the long jump with a leap of 6.53 meters to take seventh place.
Up next: The Duhawks travel to Platteville, Wisconsin, on Saturday, April 12, to compete at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville Invitational.
