INDIANOLA, Iowa – The Loras College men's track and field team finished third at the American Rivers Conference Outdoor Championships, hosted by Simpson College.
The Duhawks placed behind the University of Dubuque and conference champion Wartburg, earning All-Conference honors in 13 events, including one individual title and two relay victories. All-Conference recognition is awarded to athletes who finish in the top three of an event.
Isaac Bourne secured Loras' only individual championship, winning the 10,000-meter run with a personal best time of 30:04.72, which also set new facility and meet records.
Loras added two relay titles. The 4x800-meter relay team of
Jacob Belha,
Carson Hendrey,
Carlo Dannenfelser and
Joe Franke posted a time of 7:39.08 to break the facility record. In the 4x100-meter relay,
Frank Day,
Ian Fagan,
Derik Bunten and
Dayvion Foreman finished first with a time of 40.86 seconds which is the second fastes in program history and ranks No.13 in all of Division III.
Up next: The Duhawks will head to Moline, Ill. for the Augustana Last Chance Qualifier on Thursday, May 15.
