Duhawks Claim Five Titles, Finish Second at A-R-C Outdoor Championships

INDIANOLA, Iowa – The Loras College women's track and field team placed second at the American Rivers Conference Outdoor Championships, hosted by Simpson College.

The Duhawks, ranked No. 8 nationally, finished as runners-up to conference champion Wartburg. Loras earned All-Conference honors in 14 events, including four individual titles and one relay title. Athletes who finish in the top three of an event receive All-Conference recognition.

Emma Seipel capped her final outdoor conference meet with a dominant performance, earning All-Conference honors in four events and claiming three individual titles. Seipel set a meet record in the long jump with a leap of 5.99 meters on her first and only attempt. She also won the 100-meter dash in 11.90 seconds and the 200-meter dash in a personal-best 24.21 seconds.

The 4x100-meter relay team of Harmony Creasy, Layla Hughes, Meghan McDonald and Seipel won gold with a time of 46.72 seconds, which ranks 13th nationally in Division III.

Sara Hoskins closed out her final conference meet as the high jump champion, clearing 1.68 meters.

Up next: Loras will compete at the Augustana Last Chance Qualifier on Thursday, May 15, in Moline, Ill.
