DUBUQUE, Iowa – Seven student-athletes from the Loras College men's and women's tennis teams have earned spots on earned spots on the College Sports Communicators (CSC) 2024-25 Academic All-District Team, as announced in the organization's official release on Wednesday.

Representing the men's team are Gage Becker, Samuel Canas Guerrero, and Andrew Day while Mary Breitbach, Dorothy Deans, Ellie Kalina, and Caroline Hutchinson were recognized from the women's program.

Across the American Rivers Conference, a total of 31 men's and women's tennis players were named this year's Academic All-District Teams.

Academic All-District® honorees were considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. Student-athletes selected as CSC Academic All-America® finalists are denoted with an asterisk and will advance to the national ballot to be voted on by CSC members. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced June 3, 2025 (women) and June 4, 2025 (men).

To be considered for Academic All-District, a student-athlete must be in the lineup for 70% of the total matches played by the team that includes team scores with at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) at his/her institution and be at least a sophomore academically and athletically.
