DUBUQUE, Iowa – The Loras College women's tennis team was plagued by weather in a 4-0 loss to the Cornell College Rams on Thursday afternoon. The match between the two squads was cut short due to rain.

Cornell was able to secure the first point of the match after sweeping all three matches in doubles play.

Only three matches were completed in singles play with the Rams taking all three. Alexis Tatum fell at No. 2, 6-0, 6-2, while Megan Covelli dropped her match at No. 3, 6-3, 6-0. Annika Dox defeated Brooke Burger at the No. 6 spot, 6-0, 6-4 to secure the win.

Mary Breitbach was on her way to a win at the No. 1 singles spot, needing only one more point in the tiebreaker to secure a win over Michaela Clark before their match was called.

Lauren Keiper and Saydie Roling were also unable to finish matches due to weather.

Up Next: Loras will travel to Rock Island, Illinois on April 19^th for their regular season finale against Augustana College. Match time is set for 1 p.m.
