LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Kaili Henning of the Loras College softball team has been named to the National Fastpitch Coaches Association Region IX Second Team, as announced by the organization on Friday afternoon.
Henning, who was recently named Rookie of the Year by the American Rivers Conference, finished her freshman campaign with a 2.91 ERA, totaling 84 strikeouts in 89 innings of work. The Second Team All-Conference performer finished with a team high 10 wins in 14 starts. At the plate, the Fort Dodge, Iowa native, posted a .363 batting average to go along with 20 RBIs and 37 hits.
Henning was one of 13 A-R-C players to receive Region IX All-Region honors. Joining her was Elise Warneke (Nebraksa Wesleyan - 1st team), Paige Davison (Nebraska Wesleyan - 1st team), Lyndsey Roth (Nebraska Wesleyan - 1st team), Megan Heidelbauer (Simpson - 1st team), Ashlyn Steen (Simpson - 1st team), Rylee Dunkin (Central - 1st team), Haley Bach (Central - 1st team), Sydney Fellows (Wartburg - 1st team), Mariah Parton (Central - 2nd team), Emma Beck (Central - 3rd team), Hannah Luellen (Wartburg - 3rd team), Alexa Anderson (Central - 3rd team).
