GENEVA, Ohio – The Loras College men's and women's track and field teams wrapped up their 2024–25 outdoor season at the 2025 NCAA Division III Outdoor National Championships, held at the SPIRE Institute.
The women's team tied for 14th place with Illinois Wesleyan University, scoring 17 points. The men's team placed 26th with nine points, sharing the spot in a four-way tie with American Rivers Conference rivals Central College, the University of Dubuque, and Wartburg College.
First Team All-America honors are awarded to athletes who finish in the top eight of their event, while Second Team All-America recognition is given to individuals placing ninth through 16th and to relay teams finishing ninth or 10th.
Emma Seipel capped her collegiate career in dominant fashion, winning her first NCAA outdoor title in the long jump with an opening leap of 6.15 meters, good for sixth all-time in NCAA Division III history. In addition to her national title, Seipel competed in the 100 and 200-meter dashes along with the 4x400-meter relay. She earned Second Team All-America honors in the 100-meter dash, placing 12th in 11.92 seconds, and 200-meter preliminaries, finishing seventh in 24.80 seconds.
Taylor Flaig and
Caitlyn Cox both earned First Team All-America honors in the hammer throw. Flaig placed seventh with a mark of 52.84 meters, while Cox finished fourth with a throw of 56.35 meters. Flaig's performance earned her the first outdoor First Team All-America honor of her collegiate career.
Sara Hoskins concluded her time at Loras with a Second Team All-America honor in the high jump, clearing 1.65 meters to finish 14th overall.
The women's 4x400-meter relay team—
Harmony Creasy,
Layla Hughes,
Frankie Chaidez, and Seipel—placed ninth in 3:50.30, earning Second Team All-America distinction.
On the men's side, the 4x400-meter relay team of
Ian Fagan,
Zeke Irving,
Ted Kruse, and
Matt Kruse led the way with a fourth-place finish in 3:11.19, collecting First Team All-America honors.
Joe Franke closed out his senior season with a fourth-place finish in the 800-meter run, posting a time of 1:51.02 and earning First Team All-America honors.
Carter Allen secured Second Team All-America honors in the discus throw, placing 13th with a mark of 46.32 meters.
DreAnthony Jackson also represented the Duhawks in the shot put, finishing 21st in the preliminaries with a throw of 15.23 meters.
