ASBURY, Iowa – The Loras College men's golf team returend home to host the Loras invite on Sunday and Monday. The Duhawks finished in ninth place.
Alex Link posted the low round for the Duhawks during day one with a four-over par round of 76.
Will Coohey finished round one with a 78 (+6) while
Wyatt Herting and
Quinn Walsh fired rounds of 80 (+8) and 82 (+10), respectively.
Silas Schultz rounded out the Loras lineup with an 84 (+12) round.
On day two, Walsh fired a two-over par round of 74 that featured four birdies, three of which came on the back nine, to move him up the leaderboard to finish in T21. Coohey was right behind Walsh with his round of 75 (+3) to lead the Duhawks on the leaderboard with a 12
th place finish. Herting and Link finish the tournament T40 after day two rounds of 80 (+8) and 84 (+12), respectively. Schultz would go on to finish in 64
th place after an 88 (+16) on Monday.
Leading the second Loras team was
Emmett Loomis who finished in T27 after finishing +13 for the tournament. Nick Sullinvan finished in T33 with rounds of 79 (+7) and 80 (+8), while
Gavin Eddy finished in a tie for 40
th at +16.
Cole Vetter fired rounds of 86 (+14) and 83 (+11), which placed him in T59 place.
Evan Sperling, Jordan Dekoter, and
Kellen Howard finished in T46, 65
th, and T66, respectively.
Ethan Walz and
Ryker Terry both played as individuals placed T66 and 68
th with Walz firing rounds of 91 (+19) and 86 (+14). Terry finished with rounds of 93 (+21) and 92 (+20).
