DUBUQUE, Iowa – The Loras College women's tennis team fell short against the Norse from Luther College on Tuesday evening, 7-0.
 
The Duhawks fell behind 1-0 early in the match after not securing a point in doubles. Mary Breitbach and Megan Covelli dropped their match against Allie Christensen and Julia Morena, 6-1. Ellie Kalina and Saydie Roling were met with a similar outcome, falling at No. 2 doubles, 6-2, while Alexis Tatum and Brooke Burger fell at No 3 doubles, 6-0.
 
Loras tried to get back in the match during singles play, but Luther continued their momentum with a sweep in all six singles matches.
 
Up Next: The Purple and Gold will head to St. Peter, Minn. to compete in the ITA Regional Tournament on Sept 19 and 20 at Gustavus Adolphus College.
