DUBUQUE, Iowa – The Loras College women's tennis team fell to the University of Dubuque Spartans, 4-3, on Tuesday night at the Tucker Tennis Courts.

In doubles play, Ellie Kalina and Saydie Roling defeated Adriana Benavente and Jayda Floyd, 6-1, from the No. 2 spot. At No. 3, Alexis Tatum and Brooke Burger won their matchup 7-6. The Duhawks would head into singles play leading 1-0.

In singles play, at No. 1, Mary Breitbach got her first win of the year, defeating Molly Jex 6-0, 6-1. Lauren Keiper was responsible for the other single point from the No. 6 spot, winning 6-4, 6-2.

Up Next: Loras will return home for a pair of nonconference matchups against Monmouth College and Ripon College on Saturday Sept. 6. Match times are set for 10:30 AM and 3 PM, respectively.
