DUBUQUE, Iowa – The Loras College men's soccer team picked up another win with a convincing 4-1 victory over Greenville on Saturday at the Rock Bowl.
Loras (4-0-3) struck early as
Sep Heerkens scored twice in a three-minute span, opening the scoring in the 20th minute off assists from
Julian Lopez and
Cole Bridson before adding another with help from
Gavin Pienkowski and Lopez.
Greenville (2-3-1) pulled one back after halftime through Izan Gonzalez Rivera, but Loras quickly restored control.
Kael Pacaro extended the lead in the 50th minute, and
Dani Galiana Torres added the final goal moments later to seal the result.
Loras dictated play with a 23-9 advantage in shots, including nine on target, and an 11-2 edge in corner kicks. Goalkeeper
Alexander Drexler made two saves in the win, while Greenville's Dominick Messer finished with five saves under steady pressure.
