LINCOLN, Neb. – The Loras College men's soccer team played to a 1-1 draw with Nebraska Wesleyan on Saturday night in its American Rivers Conference opener at Abel Stadium.
Cole Bridson put the Duhawks in front early, scoring in the fourth minute off assists from
Julian Lopez and
Townes Robertson for his third goal of the season.
Loras (5-0-4, 0-0-1 A-R-C) goalkeeper
Alexander Drexler kept the lead intact with 11 saves, including a stop on a penalty kick in the 52nd minute, as the Prairie Wolves piled up 12 shots on frame.
Nebraska Wesleyan (2-3-4, 0-0-1 A-R-C) finally broke through in the 86th minute when Owen Hunt netted the equalizer off an assist from Max Matthies.
The Duhawks managed seven shots on the night, forcing two saves from Prairie Wolves keeper Graedon Hilton.
