DUBUQUE, Iowa — The Loras College men's soccer team played to a 3-3 draw with Aurora University on Saturday evening at the Rock Bowl.
Cole Bridson opened the scoring in the 22nd minute with his first goal of the season, but Aurora (1-1-1) responded with two goals from Josue Roman in the 29th and 34th minutes, the latter assisted by Branden Dolezal.
The Duhawks pulled even before halftime when
Kael Pacaro scored his first collegiate goal in the 40th minute assisted by
Christopher Hastert and
Joseph Sorce. Loras regained the lead just three minutes into the second half as
Gavin Pienkowski netted his first career goal to make it 3-2. Aurora tied the match in the 62nd minute, and neither side could find the winner down the stretch.
Loras (0-0-3) finished with 16 shots, including 10 on goal, while goalkeeper
Alexander Drexler made seven saves against 10 Spartan attempts.
Up next: The Duhawks travel to Mequon, Wis. on Wednesday to face Concordia University Wisconsin at 4:30 p.m.
