Rosie Flynn Sets Facility Record in 600 Meter as Loras Competes at Friday Knight Lights

WAVERLY, Iowa – The Loras College women's track and field team competed at the Friday Knight Lights meet hosted by Wartburg College on Friday.

Rosie Flynn led the Duhawks in her 600-meter debut, winning the event in 1:35.73. The time set meet and venue records and ranks second all-time in program history. The 4x400-meter relay team of Katie Flynn, Layla Hughes, Savannah Davis and Rosie Flynn also placed first with a time of 4:00.94.

Caitlyn Cox won the weight throw with a mark of 19.95 meters and recorded a season best throw of 12.36 meters in the shot put.Emery Wherry posted a personal best time of 9.61 in the 60-meter hurdles, while Davis added a personal best in the 800 meters with a time of 2:25.00.

In the 200 meters, Layla Hughes ran a season best 27.30, and Emmy Hughes recorded a personal best time of 30.35.

In the mile, Lilly Molloy finished fourth with a personal best time of 5:35.91. Mary Jo Fischer placed 10th in 6:05.61, and Natalia Saucedo finished 12th in 6:18.33, both personal bests.

In section one of the 3,000 meters, Hunter Jones finished third with a season-best time of 11:41.45, while Taylor Hoger placed ninth with a personal-best 11:56.61. In section two, Paige Jacobs finished seventh with a personal best time of 11:07.17.

In jumps, Rachel Theis recorded a personal best mark of 2.65 meters in the pole vault, and Julia Klein posted a season best mark of 1.56 meters in the high jump.

In the throws, Audra Gallick notched a season best throw of 13.55 meters, while Abby Horsfall added a personal best mark of 13.22 meters.
