DUBUQUE, Iowa – The Loras College men's basketball team defeated Central College, 89-66, on Wednesday night inside the Lillis Athletic and Wellness Center.
The Duhawks led wire-to-wire en route to securing the season sweep over the Dutch. Loras (16-5, 10-2 A-R-C) led by as many as 18 (35-17) in the first half thanks to a
Damyen Jackson three. The Purple and Gold held a 39-26 advantage over Central (10-10, 3-8) at the half.
Loras outscored the Dutch 50-40 in the second half to cruise to an 89-66 victory.
Jack Haynes led the way for the Duhawks with 25 points and 11 rebounds.

Gavin Sarvis also finished in double-digits, totaling 17 and 12 points respectively. As a team, Loras shot 50.0 percent (37-of-74) from the floor and 38.5 percent (10-of-26) from downtown.
Kyle Cason paced the Dutch offense with 21 points, while Braylon Thomsen added in 15 of his own. Central shot 46.6 percent (27-of-58) from the field and 22.2 percent (4-of-18) from three.
